Hello blogging friends!
Almost two weeks ago we arrived here in Chipata. We do not have internet at our house yet, so we are using internet at our very generous friend's house. Hopefully someone will make it out to our house to do a survey and set up internet soon. That will make things at home a little nicer, being able to contact friends and family back home. The girls are looking forward to being able to get their emails and things. (Me too, I must admit.)
We had such a wonderful reception when we arrived! Our friends came to fetch us, and for several days afterward they took turns feeding us. That was a huge blessing, since we didn't have anything in our house!
Getting the house set up is a slow process. Finding what we like, what we really need right now, and what we can live without is not as easy as I thought it would be. There are things to buy in the capitol of Lusaka, and J-Man is going there tomorrow. So we are praying the Lord leads him to some nice and affordable things for us! If you would pray too, that would be awesome.
I do promise to post some more pictures and things in the coming days, once we get internet at home. I've been keeping a small journal of happenings, and I will post in chronological order at some point. I don't want to forget anything!
Thank you for your prayers so far. We are very happy here, and very thankful that we are feeling very at home. God is certainly giving us grace and helping us to adjust and fit in with our new missionary friends. There is also a pretty large group of people from Europe and South Africa here, and it's been fun getting to know them too.
Keep praying!! Thanks friends!
