I Chronicles 29:11 "Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all."

Happy 26th Birthday Savannah!!

We had the privilege of hosting the brand spankin' new Mr. and Mrs. Pestke last night. They are freshly arrived in Africa after their wedding (last month) and honeymoon shortly thereafter. Kevin has been ministering in Zambia on and off since 2002, but full time since last year. Now he's brought a wife home!

Well, a good informant had inside information, and told me that it would be Savannah's birthday when they got here. So I put that info to good use and tried to make a special night of it for her. It's not easy moving away from your family to a new country, but to be a new bride on top of it all is REALLY a lot of changes at once.

They're too cute, of course, and SO newly-weddish. It's enough to make you wanna snuggle up for a night with your honey. Even after ten years of marriage!

Here are some photos of our night. Enjoy!

We presented Savannah with some Mocha Java.

The Birthday Song.

Seeing her birthday greetings.

Some flowers to make the table festive...

Our table setting.

The Loot.

As you can see, we had a great time! Please pray for them as they get settled in at their home in Zambia and begin ministering together. Mr. Pestke has shown great aptitude in the decorating department. When the Mrs. asked what colors he wanted in the house, he said "Whatever you want, Dear." They're off to a great start!!

Ok, I want a close up of that cake! That is too beautiful!

I think you've officially recovered from the "spoon cake chocolate baking soda disaster of 2007"- you've got me beat that's for sure!

I'm so glad you could welcome her with open arms, and those handmade signs are the best. God bless you guys-

I agree with these ladies, my cake was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen!! Thank you Soooo much!! I truly had a wonderful birthday and it will be one that is remembered for sure. And you are right, we are off to a great start, especially because we started it all off at the Tsukolasas'! You guys are a great example of what a family ought to be, and even more so!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

    Love,
    Savannah and Kevin Pestke
