I Chronicles 29:11 "Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all."

Foodie Friday: Crock Pot Shredded Beef

Howdy do all you bloggers and readers out there. Happy Friday!

Crock Pot Shredded Beef

This is a great recipe! So easy because the crock pot does all the work. I served ours over mashed potatoes with sides of Greek salad and corn (for the kids). We had company and they raved about it. So nice!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 pounds boneless beef round steak, cut into large pieces
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 3/4 cup thinly sliced celery
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 12 sandwich rolls, split
  1. Place meat in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add onions and celery. In a bowl, combine the ketchup, water, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard, paprika, chill powder, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on high for 6-8 hours.
  2. Remove meat; cool slightly. Shred with a fork. Return to the sauce and heat through. Serve on rolls, or over rice or potatoes. Makes 12-14 servings.
Not to make you jealous, but we also had Ho-Ho Cake for dessert. But that's for another day.

OK, that looks delicious, but these days I rarely cook anything that requires more than 5 ingredients. I'm such a bad mommy. But tomorrow I'll be posting my lasagna recipe. I know everyone has one, but a friend gave me this when hubby and I first got married, and it is the best I've ever tried!

    Anyway, hope you're blessed!
