I Chronicles 29:11 "Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all."

Married Couple Fellowship

Tonight we had a married couple's get-together at the Steiner's house. Fun!!

Chris reminded those of us who had read this book about the great points in it, and that we need to be watching out to make sure we provide our spouse's needs.

Here are the Main Points:
*Do you know your spouse's love language?*
1. Words of Affirmation (Prov. 18:21)
-Be encouraging!!
-Let your words be humble.
2. Quality Time
-Be willing to do something you don't like in order to please your mate.
-Strive for quality communication
-Have intimate conversation. Truly open your heart to the other person.
3. Receiving Gifts
-The first gift you gave each other is your wedding ring- it is precious!
-Not always need to be something big. Surprise them with something they like.
4. Acts of Service
-It is easy to SAY I love you, but hard to PROVE it through actions.
-Take some of your mate's burdens and help out.
-In John 3:16 God proved His love for us through His actions.
5. Physical Touch
-Don't let the honeymoon die!!
-Let you kids see you smooch from time to time.
-Your body belongs to your mate. (I Cor. 7:4)

*The marriage relationship is a picture of our relationship with God. When we get married, the two become one flesh. When we are saved, the Holy Spirit indwells us, and we become united, or one, with God. What a beautiful picture indeed!!

It was a GREAT lesson full of GREAT examples and GREAT humor. It's always a good time when Christian friends can gather and share God's Word! Here's the proof:
